The Afro-American Police Officer League cordially invites you to our Annual Awards Gala Saturday, October 26, 2024. The theme for the gala is “90s” and is a formal, black tie event. The proceeds of the event will go towards our annual scholarships for college-bound youth.
The elegant Ballroom at Bayou Place is in downtown Houston and is the perfect location as we celebrate the AAPOL Awards. The evening begins with hors d’oeuvres during the registration period. Gregory "SaxMan" Daniels will provide musical entertainment during the reception period.
Public figure, award winning producer, and television personality, Alexis "FLY" Jones and media personality and radio host from 93.7 The Beat Kiotti Brown will co-host the Award Gala. The gala will include a three-course gourmet meal with an open bar (Premium Cocktails) in a spacious venue.
Officers will be recognized for exceptional achievement in Valor, Crime Prevention, Investigations, Community Relations, and Innovative Approaches to Police Services. We will present awards for Officer of the Year, Patrol Officer of the Year, Investigator of the Year, Supervisor of the Year, and Lifetime Achievement Award
The dynamic and versatile, Houston Percussion Band, will provide a musical performance playing the songs from the 90s that we love. The social period will be hosted by Kiotti Brown and will include prize give aways and Gala themed entertainment activities.
