The A:lio-Ame1ican Police Officer’s League (AAPOL) raised $11,000 and decided to make good use of it. AAPOL handed out over a dozen scholarships to local high school students to assist “v\rith tuition. As quoted by President Carr, “As you know there’s a lot of negative energy regarding law enforcement. From what we see in the news or fro,n our personal experiences, But we (AAPOL) wanted to be a light in this tirne. Awards vvill be given for: Officer of the Year, Outstanding Patrol of the Year, Outstanding Inv es ti gator of the Year, Outstanding Super\risor of the Year and Humanitarian Avvard.
